Guide
Dictate into any app in five minutes.
From download to your first sentence in Gmail, with the two settings that make the difference.
1. Install and allow two permissions
Download, drag to Applications, open. Allow the microphone (so it can hear you) and Accessibility (so it can type where your cursor is). Both are standard for dictation tools and neither reads your screen.
2. Pick a key you never use
Right Option on a Mac, Right Ctrl on a PC. Hold it to talk; let go to type. Double-tap it to keep listening hands-free and press once to stop.
3. Teach it three words
Open Vocabulary and add the three names you type most. Say each one once. You have just removed most of your future corrections.
4. Try it somewhere real
Put the cursor in a reply, hold the key, say the whole message including punctuation if you like, and release. The text appears; your clipboard is untouched.
