FAQ
Questions people ask before they download.
Which platforms does Vaitly Voice support?
Mac with Apple silicon today. Windows is in development now, with early access opening to people on the list first. Your license covers both.
Does my audio go to the cloud?
No. Standard dictation is recognized on your own computer by a local model. There is no server in the loop and no recording is uploaded.
Do I need an account to use it?
Not to dictate. Download, allow the microphone, hold your shortcut and talk. An account only matters if you go Pro, so your license can follow you to a second device.
What does Free include?
1,000 words every week, resetting Monday, with every core feature: works in every app, vocabulary, snippets and history. No card.
What currency am I charged in?
Prices are in US dollars and are charged by Vaitly Limited, a UK company. Taxes are added at checkout where they apply.
How many computers can I use?
Pro covers two active devices, in any mix of Mac and Windows once the Windows app ships. You can swap a device from your account page.
Is there a lifetime option?
Yes. Founder Lifetime is $39 for the first 5,000 customers, then Pro Lifetime is $99. Both are one payment with no renewal.
Which languages does it understand?
English is the default and the most accurate. Other languages are available through optional models you can install from inside the app.
Can I use it with a cloud AI to rewrite text?
Only if you choose to. Transforms run on your device by default. If you connect a cloud provider, the app labels every transform that leaves the machine.
Who makes Vaitly Voice?
